Happy Birthday Dave!

Dave's birthday was a few weeks ago and I made red velvet cupcakes - his choice - to share.  A combo of being afraid of making a cake and not having the right size cake pan always make for cupcakes. For some reason they are less intimidating to me! 

We've started a tradition of making each other a cake or treat for each birthday and it's been really fun! We recently found a picture of the chocolate Nike swoosh shaped chocolate cake I made for him 3 years ago which looked and tasted..disgusting haha. Two years ago Dave made me the best flour-less chocolate cake in the world. Last year we made an icebox cake to celebrate my birthday and my dad's birthday. And for Dave's 30th I made homemade funfetti mini cupcakes. Oh and for Alta and Zack's 1st birthday party we made strawberry cupcakes with strawberry frosting. So yummy.
