A few highlights from our california coast trip

We spent a few days in LA doing lots o' fun things and then headed up the coast, all the way to Monterey for the rest of our trip. I won't lie and say it was the most perfect trip. In fact, I think our next big family vacation will include a beach and an all-inclusive resort BUT we did see so many magical coasts and towns and I'm glad we did it. 

^ Dave took Alta to a beach in downtown Monterey while I had a moment to myself in the car. Traveling with a 2 year old who is taking really short naps is tiring!

^ AND, a fun friend video chat! This was a big highlight.

^ Best park, Echo Park. 

^ We visited my brother in Rancho Santa Margarita and he treated us to Baskin Robbins. YES.

^ Alta did really well in our hotel rooms. She spent 2/3 nights sleeping in the hotel bathroom :) 

^ Checking out the kid area at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This place was so cool! 

^ The beautiful rose garden at Mission Santa Barbara. The area, garden, neighborhood was amazing.

^ Our one hike/walk in Big Sur. Also, amazing.

And of course, a non-trip related highlight was having my project fund on Kickstarter! Watching that all go down did add some stress and excitement to our trip but it was worth it.
