Thanksgiving in Indio

Dave was able to get Thanksgiving week off (which turned into a major Christmas sacrifice) for us to go with his family to Indio. We stayed at a really nice resort with lots of pools and fun things to do. It wasn't quite as warm as I would have liked for swimming but Alta loved it and spent a lot of time in the pool and running around the complex. We were able to do a few extra things including the tram (100% worth it), the Shields Date Garden (50% worth it, although if we had had time to do the garden tour it could have been 100%), and a tiny bit of Black Friday shopping. 

On our way out, we stopped in Palm Springs to check out the downtown area. We saw the giant Marilyn Monroe statue and walked around for a few minutes. I would love to go back there again! Palm Springs was way cooler than I thought it would be.
